About the Journal
Aims & Scope
Engineering Manufacturing Letters (EML) is a rapid-publication journal, providing rapid communications that can take the form of letters, short papers and practical case studies. These communications describe important breakthroughs in innovative manufacturing processes, which are used in practically all industrial sectors.
The journal is highly cross-disciplinary, and receives submissions from a wide range of industries such as Transportation (automotive, rail, aeronautical and marine), Packaging, Electronics, Sports, etc. In addition, it also receives contributions from research performed in academic contexts, and contributions by higher learning institutions and research centres.
Thus, Engineering Manufacturing Letters is devoted to publish cutting edge research on all aspects of manufacturing processes, such as: additive manufacturing, vacuum-assisted high pressure die casting, semi-solid metal casting, compressive and tensile forming processes, micro and nano machining, nanocomposite manufacturing, adhesive bonding, laser cutting and joining, etc.
Publishing Schedule
The journal publishes two issues per year (one volume a year), in the first quarter (April) and in the last quarter of the year (November). It also considers the publication of special issues on specific themes or related to engineering conferences selected papers.
Publication Ethics
All papers are blind peer-reviewed by at least two referees (after initial screening by the editors), to guarantee the quality of its content, structure, and language. The Editorial Board will conduct plagiarism screening using Turnitin. The journal will take appropriate actions, such as issuing a correction or retraction, to make sure all parties involved meet the conformance to the ethical standards.
